This prayer space gives one an opportunity to reflect/remember a dear deceased person or someone whom one is missing his/her presence (ex. a member of your family living abroad), while threading a necklace.
Equipment: pasta (macaroni or penne) and strings
When someone leaves or dies, they leave a gap in our lives – we miss them. It is called grief. It is easy to feel alone when you are grieving.
However, others may be grieving too…maybe our family or friends.
- Take a pasta shape. As you pass it through the string, think of someone whom you are missing. Think about people who are missing you. They might feel hurt or upset too.
- Say a prayer for those who like you are feeling sad because of the loss or absence of someone dear to them, so that God will give them the courage they need during this difficult time.
