Have you ever heard someone relating a difficult situation in his/her life that took a long time to be solved? Maybe your grandparents or great grandparents shared their experiences during World War Two which lasted six years from 1939 to 1945; a person who waited long to undergo an operation to heal from pain. Maybe when we’ve been waiting in a long queue and it took a long until we were served, and other situations where waiting is needed. In these situations, patience is necessary for the individual, and sometimes it is not easy.

  • Choose a picture and glance at it for some minutes.
  • How do you think the people in the image are feeling?
  • Is there any situation in your life that is taking longer to settle down, things changing for the better?
  • Turn the sand clock, and while looking at the sand going down slowly, make a wish to God in silence so that people passing through identical situations strengthen themselves through patience.
