Dear Friends,
APRIL couldn’t really decide what it wanted to be. In the UK, we had more snow and freezing winds, and then we also had a couple of blazing hot days. Hopefully, the sun will continue to shine.
We launched three new prayer activities during April; two from our three part series on Loss and Grief and the third encouraging students to ‘Be The Light’ in others lives. And we also updated our ‘Concerns and Confidentiality’document.
During the month, we delivered training workshops in South Wales and Widdrington, in Horsham, Torquay, Bristol and Four Marks, Colchester and Gateshead.
One of the things that we’re excited about at the moment is the completion of our brand new Training Pack. Our team have been working hard on it for about 18 months, but it’s now with the printers. We’re looking forward to using the new Training materials very soon – and we hope you’ll like them.
In terms of prayer spaces, we’ve shared a story from Grand Cayman, and one about how prayer spaces can help the mental health of pupils.
You may remember that we developed 6 prayer activities with Christian Aid last Summer, based on their justice projects. Well… we are excited to be supporting them as Christian Aid week approaches (May 13-19). You can read more about it here. If you’re running a prayer space during Christian Aid week why not include some of our Christian Aid activities?
Have you heard about ‘Thy Kingdom Come’? It’s an initiative led by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to encourage churches and individuals to pray, mostly from Ascension (10th May) through to Pentecost (20thMay), for those around them to meet with God. We produced a short series of prayer activities based on The Lords Prayer, which is also available on their website. If you’re running a prayer space as part of Thy Kingdom Come, please let us know.
Finally, our friends at Pray For Schools also have their ‘Pray For Schools Fortnight’ coming soon. If you’d like to see every school a prayed for school, check out their website.
I think that’s all from us this month. Thank you for your continued support.
God Bless,
Tandia
