How can storytelling sessions help children to reflect and pray?

Storytelling helps children pray by connecting the stories to their own lives and showing them how to talk to God. Through listening and imagining, they see how others have talked to and trusted God, and they discover new ways to express their thoughts and feelings to Him. Stories make prayer real, relatable, and easier to understand.

Year 3 and 4 children at Skolsajf Naxxar Centre joined reflective storytelling with activities like Sorry Sand 🏖️, Worry Boats, and Be Still 🌄 to explore forgiveness 💞, share fears 🙏, and enjoy stillness 🕊️.

Lent: Sorry Sand

In this prayer space one will take time to think that God will forgive us if we ask for forgiveness and reflect on the forgiveness we were granted through the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.

Worry Boats

This prayer activity helps one to understand God’s love in our life turbulences.

Be Still: Prayer Word

During this time one is inivted to be still and meditate on ma-ra-na-ta.

This event is part of the Prayer Spaces programme.
