Day 3-3/12/24
QUOTE
Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. (Matthew 21:22)
REFLECTION
The first Sunday of Advent gives us the opportunity to prepare our hearts in full waiting and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Let us stir up in our hearts and homes a sense of holy anticipation. The tradition for the first Sunday of Advent includes lighting the first purple candle which is a symbol of hope.
ACTIVITY
Get creative with your younger siblings or cousins and prepare a Christmas wreath with 4 coloured candles: 3 purple candles represent hope, love, and peace, while one pink represents joy. Every week light a candle until we light the white one in the middle on Christmas day, which means the light Jesus brought to the world with His birth.
• Light the first purple candle which is a symbol of hope.
• Spend some time in prayer every day.
PRAYER
Dear God, guide my actions so that I can live by faith and have a life in You.
