Instructions

Gardjola

The Gardjola is a guard tower where guards could keep watch and warn others of danger. The Gardjola has a carving of an eye 👁️ to watch, an ear 👂 to listen, and a bird 🕊️ to protect. These remind us that someone is always looking, listening, and protecting just like God does!

👁️ The eye: Think of a time when you were happy that God saw you and thank God. Example: “God, thank you for seeing me when I was all alone.”

👂The ear: Think of something you want God to hear from your heart and say a prayer. Example: “God, please hear me when I pray for my grandma.”

🕊️ The bird: Think of a moment when you want God to stay close to you and protect you. Say a prayer. Example: “God, stay with me when I feel scared at night.

  • Take a blank paper. Draw an eye, an ear, or a bird, and ✍️ write your short prayer.
