Spiritual Development in Schools recently assisted Professor Adrian-Mario Gellel—from the Faculty of Education, contributing to both Early Childhood and Primary Education, Symbol Literacy and Pastoral Theology—in delivering an enriching interdisciplinary session. This formed part of X’hemM? għal Kulħadd, an initiative launched in March 2023 to mark the International Day of Mathematics and promote meaningful STEM experiences across schools.
The session invited primary students to explore the sun’s patterns, the cycles of time, and the balance of light and darkness. These scientific observations were thoughtfully connected to the Christian understanding of the Annunciation as a sign of hope and new beginnings.

By bringing together science, maths, and faith, students were encouraged to look beyond what is seen and discover a deeper sense of purpose, wonder, and spiritual reflection.
