The Canonisation of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis
St Pier Giorgio Frassati and St Carlo Acutis were declared saints on Sunday, 7th September 2025, in St Peter’s Square, Rome. Pope Leo XIV confirmed the canonisation of Pier Giorgio Frassati in the consistory of 13th June 2025, after approving an inexplicable miracle of healing of a seminarian in Los Angeles attributed to his intercession. The canonisation of Carlo Acutis is a recognition of an adolescent who lived his faith with joy, simplicity, and great love for the Eucharist.
Dear brothers and sisters, In the first reading, we heard a question: [Lord,] “Who has learned your counsel, unless you have given wisdom and sent your holy spirit from on high?” (Wis 9:17). This question comes after two young Blesseds, Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis, were proclaimed saints, and this is providential because in the Book of Wisdom, this question is attributed to a young man like them: King Solomon. Upon the death of his father David, he realized that he had many things: power, wealth, health, youth, beauty, and the entire kingdom. It was precisely this great abundance of resources that raised a question in his heart: “What must I do so that nothing is lost?”
Solomon understood that the only way to find an answer was to ask God for an even greater gift, that of his wisdom, so that he might know God’s plans and follow them faithfully. He realized, in fact, that only in this way would everything find its place in the Lord’s great plan. Yes, because the greatest risk in life is to waste it outside of God’s plan. Jesus, too, in the Gospel, speaks to us of a plan to which we must commit wholeheartedly. He says: “Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Lk 14:27); and again: “none of you can become my disciple if you do not give up all your possessions” (v. 33). He calls us to abandon ourselves without hesitation to the adventure that he offers us, with the intelligence and strength that comes from his Spirit, that we can receive to the extent that we empty ourselves of the things and ideas to which we are attached, in order to listen to his word.
Many young people, over the centuries, have had to face this crossroad in their lives. Think of Saint Francis of Assisi, like Solomon, he too was young and rich, thirsty for glory and fame. That is why he went to war, hoping to be knighted and adorned with honors. But Jesus appeared to him along the way and asked him to reflect on what he was doing. Coming to his senses, he asked God a simple question: “Lord, what do you want me to do?” (Legend of the Three Companions, cap. II: Fonti Francescane, 1401).
From there, he changed his life and began to write a different story: the wonderful story of holiness that we all know, stripping himself of everything to follow the Lord (cf. Lk 14:33), living in poverty and preferring the love of his brothers and sisters, especially the weakest and smallest, to his father’s gold, silver and precious fabrics. How many similar saints we could recall! Sometimes we portray them as great figures, forgetting that for them it all began when, while still young, they said “yes” to God and gave themselves to him completely, keeping nothing for themselves. Saint Augustine recounts that, in the “tortuous and tangled knot” of his life, a voice deep within him said: “I want you” (Confessions, II, 10,18). God gave him a new direction, a new path, a new reason, in which nothing of his life was lost.
In this setting, today we look to Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati and Saint Carlo Acutis: a young man from the early 20th century and a teenager from our own day, both in love with Jesus and ready to give everything for him. Pier Giorgio encountered the Lord through school and church groups — Catholic Action, the Conferences of Saint Vincent, the FUCI (Italian Catholic University Federation), the Dominican Third Order — and he bore witness to God with his joy of living and of being a Christian in prayer, friendship and charity. This was so evident that seeing him walking the streets of Turin with carts full of supplies for the poor, his friends renamed him “Frassati Impresa Trasporti” (Frassati Transport Company)! Even today, Pier Giorgio’s life is a beacon for lay spirituality. For him, faith was not a private devotion, but it was driven by the power of the Gospel and his membership in ecclesial associations. He was also generously committed to society, contributed to political life and devoted himself ardently to the service of the poor.
Carlo, for his part, encountered Jesus in his family, thanks to his parents, Andrea and Antonia — who are here today with his two siblings, Francesca and Michele — and then at school, and above all in the sacraments celebrated in the parish community. he grew up naturally integrating prayer, sport, study and charity into his days as a child and young man.
Both Pier Giorgio and Carlo cultivated their love for God and for their brothers and sisters through simple acts, available to everyone: daily Mass, prayer, and especially eucharistic adoration. Carlo used to say: “In front of the sun, you get a tan. In front of the Eucharist, you become a saint!” And again: “Sadness is looking at yourself; happiness is looking at God. Conversion is nothing more than shifting your gaze from below to above; a simple movement of the eyes is enough.”
Another essential practice for them was frequent Confession. Carlo wrote: “The only thing we really have to fear is sin;” and he marveled because — in his own words — “people are so concerned with the beauty of their bodies and do not care about the beauty of their souls.”
Finally, both had a great devotion to the saints and to the Virgin Mary, and they practiced charity generously. Pier Giorgio said: “Around the poor and the sick, I see a light that we do not have.” He called charity “the foundation of our religion” and, like Carlo, he practiced it above all through small, concrete gestures, often hidden, living what Pope Francis called “a holiness found in our next-door neighbors” (Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate, 7).
Even when illness struck them and cut short their young lives, not even this stopped them nor prevented them from loving, offering themselves to God, blessing him and praying to him for themselves and for everyone. One day Pier Giorgio said: “The day of my death will be the most beautiful day of my life.” In his last photo, which shows him climbing a mountain in the Val di Lanzo, with his face turned towards his goal, he wrote: “Upwards.” Moreover, Carlo, who was even younger than Pier Giorgio, loved to say that heaven has always been waiting for us, and that to love tomorrow is to give the best of our fruit today.
Dear friends, Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis are an invitation to all of us, especially young people, not to squander our lives, but to direct them upwards and make them masterpieces. They encourage us with their words: “Not I, but God,” as Carlo used to say. And Pier Giorgio: “If you have God at the center of all your actions, then you will reach the end.” This is the simple but winning formula of their holiness. It is also the type of witness we are called to follow, in order to enjoy life to the full and meet the Lord in the feast of heaven.
Pier Giorgio Frassati

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was a young man who lived a joyful and faith-filled life. He loved hiking, helping the poor, praying in silence, and living his Catholic faith with courage and kindness. His life shows us that holiness is possible in everyday moments through friendship, service, and love for Jesus.
Pier Giorgio Michelangelo Frassati was born in Turin, Italy, on April 6, 1901, into a wealthy and influential family. His mother, Adelaide Ametis, was a talented artist, and his father, Alfredo, was a newspaper editor and diplomat. Even though he lived in comfort, Pier Giorgio chose a life of humility, prayer, and love for others. At a young age, he joined Catholic groups like the Marian Sodality and the Apostleship of Prayer, and received special permission to go to daily Mass and Holy Communion rare for someone his age at the time.
A Life of Prayer and Action
Pier Giorgio had a deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist and a tender devotion to Mary. He joined the St. Vincent de Paul Society at age 17 and dedicated his time to serving the poor, the sick, and orphans. He often gave away his money and even walked home after giving away his bus fare to help someone in need.
He once said, “The poor are my masters.”
Pier Giorgio studied to become a mining engineer, wanting to bring hope and help to workers in harsh conditions. He balanced school, prayer, friendships, and social activism with joy and energy.
He loved hiking and mountain climbing and used his trips as moments to share his faith, praying the Rosary, reading Scripture, and encouraging others to come to Mass. He always said: “Verso l’alto” – “To the heights!” This reminded him (and us!) to always aim higher toward God and goodness. He also enjoyed art, music, theatre, and literature, especially the poetry of Dante and the writings of St. Catherine of Siena. In 1922, he joined the Lay Dominicans, choosing the name Girolamo after his hero, Savonarola, a brave preacher who stood up for truth.
Courage in Faith
Pier Giorgio was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He opposed Fascism and defended his Catholic faith, even when it meant facing danger. Once, during a peaceful demonstration, he held up a Church banner and bravely resisted police who tried to silence the group.
A Holy Death
Just before finishing university, he became sick with polio, likely from helping a poor person who was ill. Despite his suffering, his last thoughts were for the poor. He wrote a note with his paralyzed hand asking a friend to deliver medicine to someone in need.
Pier Giorgio died peacefully at age 24, on July 4, 1925. At his funeral, crowds of poor people, whom his family didn’t even know, lined the streets to say goodbye.

Carlo Acutis

Carlo Acutis was born on May 3, 1991, in London, England, where his Italian parents, Andrea and Antonia Acutis, were living at the time. Not long after his birth, the family returned to their home in Milan, Italy. Carlo was an only child, loved deeply by his family, and from a very young age, he showed a joyful, gentle, and generous spirit. While his parents were not especially religious when he was small, Carlo had a special love for God that seemed to come from his own heart. His strong faith helped guide his mother back to the Church, and she later began studying theology because of the inspiration she found in her son.
A Heart for God
From early childhood, Carlo had a great love for Jesus and the Catholic faith. He especially loved attending Mass every day, praying the Rosary, and spending time in silence before the Blessed Sacrament. He often said that the Eucharist was his highway to heaven and wanted to stay close to Jesus at all times. He knew that being with Jesus in the Eucharist helped him love others better, and he encouraged his friends to come to church with him so they too could meet Jesus in the sacraments.
A Tech-Savvy Teen with a Mission
Carlo was very gifted with computers and technology. Instead of using his talents only for games or fun, he chose to use them to spread his faith. When he was just 11 years old, Carlo began building a website that documented Eucharistic miracles, incredible events in different countries where the bread and wine of the Mass visibly changed into Jesus’ Body and Blood. He wanted people to believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. His work became so well known that it was turned into an exhibition that has travelled around the world, inspiring many to return to the sacraments.

A Kind and Loving Friend
Carlo’s love for God showed in the way he treated others. He was a kind and thoughtful friend, always looking out for classmates who were lonely or being bullied. He helped children with disabilities and gave food, warm clothes, and his own pocket money to the homeless and those in need. For Carlo, every person was special, and he saw the face of Jesus in the poor and the suffering.
A Boy Like Any Other
Even though he was deeply spiritual, Carlo was also a normal, fun-loving teen. He loved playing football with his friends, enjoyed video games, and adored animals, especially his dog. He liked cartoons, comics, nature, and making people laugh. But he never let these things come before his love for God. Carlo often said, “We are all born originals. Don’t die a copy.” He wanted everyone to live as the unique and beautiful person God created them to be.
A Holy Death
At age 15, Carlo suddenly became very sick. Doctors discovered that he had leukaemia, a severe form of cancer. Even in the hospital, as he suffered and grew weaker, Carlo never stopped praying. He offered all his pain to Jesus, saying, “I offer all my suffering for the Lord, for the Pope, and the Church.” With great peace and trust, he said to his mother, “I’m happy. I know where I’m going.” Carlo died peacefully on October 12, 2006, surrounded by his loved ones, and was buried in Assisi, the hometown of his favourite saint, St Francis.

His Legacy
Carlo’s life has inspired people all over the world. On October 10, 2020, Pope Francis declared him Blessed during a special Mass in Assisi. During the beatification process, his body was found to be incorrupt, which means it had not decayed in the usual way. His body now rests in a glass tomb where many come to pray and ask for his intercession.
Today, Blessed Carlo Acutis is a role model for children, teens, and even adults. He shows us that you don’t need to be old, famous, or perfect to become a saint; you just need to love Jesus and others with all your heart. He reminds us that we can live holy lives right now, through prayer, kindness, and using our talents to serve God.
Carlo’s Favourite Sayings:
- “The Eucharist is my highway to heaven.”
- “We are all born originals. Don’t die a copy.”
- “To always be close to Jesus—that’s my life plan.”
Carlo is a modern example of how a young person can live a holy life in ordinary ways. He was beatified by the Church in 2020, and many people pray to him today as a friend in heaven.

Eucharistic miracles are special signs from God that help us believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist—in the consecrated Host and wine at Mass.
Sometimes, in these miracles, the Host changes visibly, like turning into flesh or showing signs of blood. These moments remind us that the Eucharist is not just a symbol, but Jesus’ Body and Blood given to us out of love.
Many of these miracles have been studied by scientists and approved by the Church, and Carlo Acutis helped collect and share these amazing stories to help more people believe in the power of the Eucharist.
5 well-known Eucharistic miracles
Here are five well-known Eucharistic miracles that Carlo Acutis researched and documented, along with brief descriptions and references. These miracles help people believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist – body, blood, soul, and divinity.
1. Lanciano, Italy (8th century)

- A monk who doubted the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist saw the consecrated Host turn into real flesh, and the wine into real blood during Mass.
- Scientific studies later confirmed that the flesh is human heart tissue.
- Carlo featured this miracle at the top of his website.
2. Buenos Aires, Argentina (1996)
- A consecrated Host was found on the ground. It was placed in water to dissolve, but days later it turned into a reddish substance that resembled flesh.
- Studies showed it was human heart tissue with white blood cells, indicating it was still alive.
- Scientists were amazed by the results. Pope Francis, who was Archbishop of Buenos Aires at the time, approved the investigation.

- Thieves stole consecrated Hosts but later returned them. Over 290 years later, the Hosts are still perfectly preserved, without any natural decay.
- Scientists confirmed that the Hosts show no sign of corruption, even though they are made of ordinary wheat.
- During Mass, a Eucharistic minister noticed that one Host had red spots that looked like blood.
- Tests showed it was human blood and tissue from a living person’s heart — once again matching findings from other Eucharistic miracles.
- A consecrated Host fell and was placed in water. Later, a red substance appeared, and testing showed human heart tissue under stress.
- The Bishop approved veneration of the miracle, saying it was consistent with Church teaching.

Blessed Carlo Acutis’ relic was brought to Malta in October 2021 by the Franciscan Friars with the hope of helping young people discover God’s love through his inspiring example. The relic was first displayed during a diocesan youth event and then toured many schools and parishes across Malta and Gozo.
Students in these schools experienced a variety of activities organized around the relic, including moments of silent prayer, adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and the relic, sharing sessions, processions, and quizzes about Carlo’s life. This presence deeply impacted the students, inspiring reflections on faith and leading to engaging discussions, especially notable in a class with challenging behavior that became the most attentive group during the relic’s visit.

On a touching note, a boy who was undergoing treatment abroad could not attend but his family came to pray at the relic on his behalf, demonstrating the powerful spiritual connection the students and families felt through this experience.
These visits brought many beautiful and powerful moments of faith-sharing and inspired many young people to grow closer to Jesus, following Carlo’s joyful example of holiness in everyday life. Read more about this experience here.

Il-Kanonizzazzjoni tal-Beati Pier Giorgio Frassati u Carlo Acutis
San Pier Giorgio Frassati u San Carlo Acutis ġew ddikjarati qaddisin nhar il-Ħadd, 7 ta’ Settembru 2025, fi Pjazza San Pietru, Ruma. Il-Papa Ljun XIV kkonferma l-kanonizzazzjoni ta’ Pier Giorgio Frassati fil-Konċisitorju uffiċjali tat-13 ta’ Ġunju 2025, wara li approva miraklu inspjegabbli ta’ fejqan ta’ seminarista f’Los Angeles attribwit bl-interċessjoni tiegħu. Il-kanonizzazzjoni ta’ Carlo Acutis hija rikonoxximent ta’ adoloxxent li għex il-fidi tiegħu b’ferħ, sempliċità u mħabba kbira lejn l-Ewkaristija.

Il-Beatu Pier Giorgio Frassati kien żagħżugħ li għex ħajja mimlija ferħ u fidi. Kien iħobb jimxi fil-muntanji, jgħin lill-foqra, jitlob fis-skiet, u jgħix il-fidi Kattolika tiegħu b’kuraġġ u tjubija. Ħajtu turina li l-qdusija hija possibbli fil-mumenti ta’ kuljum permezz tal-ħbiberija, is-servizz, u l-imħabba għal Ġesù.
Pier Giorgio Michelangelo Frassati twieled f’Turin, l-Italja, fis-6 ta’ April 1901 f’familja sinjura u influwenti. Ommu, Adelaide Ametis, kellha talent artistiku, u missieru, Alfredo, kien editur ta’ gazzetta u diplomatiku. Minkejja li kien jgħix fil-kumdità, Pier Giorgio għażel ħajja ta’ umiltà, talb u mħabba lejn l-oħrajn. Minn żgħożitu, ingħaqad ma’ gruppi Kattoliċi fosthom dawk Marjani u l-Appostolat tat-Talb, u ngħata permess speċjali biex jattendi l-Quddiesa u jirċievi l-Ewkaristija kuljum xi ħaġa rari għall-età tiegħu dak iż-żmien.
Ħajja ta’ Talb u Azzjoni
Pier Giorgio kellu mħabba profonda lejn Ġesù fl-Ewkaristija u devozzjoni lejn Marija. Ingħaqad mas-Soċjetà ta’ San Vinċenz de Paul ta’ 17-il sena u ddedika ħinu biex jaqdi lill-foqra, lill-morda u lill-orfni. Spiss kien jagħti flusu kollha u anke jimxi lura d-dar wara li jagħti l-flus tal-karozza lil xi ħadd fil-bżonn.
Darba huwa qal: “Il-foqra huma s-sidien tiegħi.”
Pier Giorgio studja biex isir inġinier fil-minjieri bl-għan li jgħin lill-ħaddiema li kienu jaħdmu f’kundizzjonijiet ħarxa. Hu kien jibbilanċja ħinu bejn l-iskola, it-talb, il-ħbiberiji u l-attiviżmu soċjali b’ferħ u enerġija.
Kien iħobb jimxi u jitla mal-muntanji. Kien juża dawn il-mumenti biex jaqsam il-fidi tiegħu jitlob ir-Rużarju, jaqra l-Iskrittura u jinkoraġġixxi lill-oħrajn biex jattendu l-Quddiesa. Hu dejjem kien jgħid: “Verso l’Alto” – “Lejn l-Għoli!” Dan kien ifakkru (u lilna wkoll!) biex dejjem jimmira ‘l fuq lejn Alla u t-tjubija. Huwa kien iħobb l-arti, il-mużika, it-teatru u l-letteratura, b’mod speċjali l-poeżija ta’ Dante u l-kitbiet ta’ Santa Katarina ta’ Siena. Fl-1922, ingħaqad mal-Lajċi Dumnikani u ħa l-isem Girolamo, ispirat mill-eroj tiegħu, Savonarola, predikatur kuraġġuż li kien jiddefendi l-verità.

Kuraġg fil-Fidi
Pier Giorgio ma kienx jibża’ jitkellem favur dak li jemmen fih. Kien jopponi l-Faxxiżmu u jiddefendi l-fidi Kattolika tiegħu, anke meta kien fil-periklu. Darba, waqt dimostrazzjoni paċifika, għolla bandiera tal-Knisja u ddefenda l-grupp b’kuraġġ anke meta l-pulizija ppruvaw isikktu lill-grupp.
Mewt Qaddisa
Ftit qabel spiċċa l-università, marad bil-polio, probabbilment wara li għen persuna fqira li kienet marida. Minkejja l-uġigħ tiegħu, l-aħħar ħsibijiet tiegħu kienu għall-foqra. Kiteb nota b’idu paralizzata biex ħabib tiegħu jwassal mediċina lil min kien fil-bżonn.
Pier Giorgio miet fil-paċi fl-età ta’ 24 sena, fl-4 ta’ Lulju 1925. Fil-funeral tiegħu, folla ta’ foqra li l-familja tiegħu lanqas kienet tafhom , imlew it-toroq biex jagħtuh l-aħħar tislima.
Wirtu Jibqa’ Ħaj
Fl-20 ta’ Mejju 1990, il-Papa Ġwanni Pawlu II iddikjarah Beatu u sejjaħlu l-mudell għaż-żgħażagħ. Il-ġisem tiegħu nstab intatt u issa jinsab venerat fil-Katidral ta’ Turin.
Eluf ta’persuni jżuru l-qabar tiegħu biex jitolbu bl-interċessjoni tiegħu, għas-saħħa u għall-kuraġġ biex jgħixu bħalu fil-ferħ, fit-tjubija u fl-imħabba għal Kristu.

Carlo Acutis

Min hu Carlo Acutis?
Carlo Acutis twieled fit-3 ta’ Mejju 1991 f’Londra, l-Ingilterra 🇬🇧, fejn għix mal-ġenituri Taljani tiegħu, Andrea u Antonia Acutis. Ftit wara, il-familja marret lura lejn Milan, l-Italja. Carlo kienl-uniku tifel u kien iħobb ħafna lill-familja tiegħu. Minn età żgħira, wera ruħu bħala tifel ferrieħi, ġentili u ġeneruż. Għalkemm il-ġenituri tiegħu ma kinux reliġjużi ħafna meta kien żgħir, Carlo kellu mħabba speċjali għal Alla li kienet ġejja minn qalbu stess. Il-fidi tiegħu kienet tant qawwija li anke ġab lil ommu lura lejn il-Knisja, u aktar tard bdiet tistudja t-teoloġija ispirata minn binha.
Qalb għal Alla
Sa minn ċkunitu, Carlo kellu mħabba kbira għal Ġesù u għall-fidi Kattolika. Kien iħobb ħafna jattendi l-Quddiesa kuljum, jitlob ir-Rużarju, u jqatta’ ħin fis-skiet quddiem Ġesù Sagramentat. Spiss kien jgħid li l-Ewkaristija kienet l-awtostrada tiegħu għall-Ġenna u ried jibqa’ qrib Ġesù f’kull ħin. Kien jaf li meta jkun ma’ Ġesù fl-Ewkaristija, kien jitgħallem iħobb lill-oħrajn aħjar. Ħeġġeġ lil sħabu biex jiġu l-knisja miegħu biex huma wkoll jiltaqgħu ma’ Ġesù fis-sagramenti.

Żagħżugħ b’Talenti fil-Ħidma Diġitali u Missjoni
Carlo kellu talent kbir fil-kompjuters u t-teknoloġija. Imma flok użahom biss għal-logħob, għażel li jużahom biex ixerred il-fidi. Kellu biss 11-il sena meta beda jibni websajt dwar il-mirakli Ewkaristiċi — avvenimenti straordinarji li ġraw f’diversi pajjiżi fejn il-Ħobż u l-Inbid tal-Quddiesa biddlu l-għamla tagħhom u saru Ġisem u Demm veru ta’ Ġesù. Ried li n-nies jemmnu li Ġesù hu tassew preżenti fl-Ewkaristija. Ix-xogħol tiegħu sar magħruf tant li esebizzjonijiet ta’ xogħolu daru madwar id-dinja, fejn ispiraw ħafna nies biex jerġgħu lura għas-sagramenti.

Ħabib Ġentili mimli mħabba
L-imħabba ta’ Carlo għal Alla dehret fil-mod kif kien iġib ruħu ma’ ħaddieħor. Kien ħabib ġentili u attent, dejjem iħares lil sħabu li kienu waħedhom jew li kienu jiġu mweġġgħin u mċaħħda. Kien jgħin lit-tfal b’diżabbiltà u jqassam ikel, ħwejjeġ, u anke flus minn butu lill-foqra. Għal Carlo, kull persuna kienet speċjali u kien jara l-wiċċ ta’ Ġesù fil-foqra u f’dawk li jbatu.

Tifel Bħal Kulħadd
Għalkemm kien spiritwali ħafna, Carlo kien żagħżugħ normali u ferrieħi. Kien iħobb jilgħab il-futbol ma’ sħabu, igawdi logħob elettroniku, u jħobb l-annimali, speċjalment il-kelb tiegħu. Kien iħobb ukoll cartoons, komiks, in-natura u jdaqħħaq lin-nies. Imma qatt ma ħalla dawn l-affarijiet jiġu qabel l-imħabba tiegħu għal Alla. Carlo spiss kien jgħid: “Aħna kollha nitwieldu oriġinali. Tmutux bħala kopji.” Ried li kulħadd jgħix bħala l-persuna unika u sabiħa li Alla ħalaq.
Mewt Qaddisa
Meta kellu 15-il sena, Carlo marad ħafna. It-tobba skoprew li kellu l-lukimja, tip ta’ kanċer serju. Anke l-isptar, Carlo baqa’ jitlob minkejja l-uġigħ u d-dgħufija. Offra t-tbatija tiegħu lil Ġesù u qal: “Noffri t-tbatija kollha tiegħi għall-Mulej, għall-Papa, u għall-Knisja.” B’paċi kbira, qal lil ommu: “Jien kuntent. Naf fejn sejjer.” Carlo miet fil-paċi fit-12 ta’ Ottubru 2006, imdawwar bl-għeżież tiegħu, u ndifen f’Assisi il-belt ta’ San Franġisk, il-qaddis favorit tiegħu.

Wirt Spiritwali
Il-ħajja ta’ Carlo ispirat nies mid-dinja kollha. Fit-10 ta’ Ottubru 2020, il-Papa Franġisku ddikjarah Beatu waqt Quddiesa speċjali f’Assisi. Waqt il-proċess tal-beatifikazzjoni, il-ġisem tiegħu nstab mhux dekompost, jiġifieri baqa’ intatt b’mod mhux normali. Issa jinsab f’qabar tal-ħġieġ fejn ħafna jmorru jitolbu u bl-interċessjoni tiegħu.
Illum, il-Beatu Carlo Acutis huwa mudell ta’ ispirazzjoni għat-tfal, żgħażagħ u adulti. Jurina li m’għandekx għalfejn tkun kbir, famuż jew perfett biex issir qaddis—biżżejjed tħobb lil Ġesù u lill-oħrajn b’qalbek kollha. Ifakkarna li nistgħu ngħixu ħajja qaddisa issa, permezz tat-talb, il-ġentilezza u l-użu tat-talenti tagħna biex naqdu lil Alla.
Carlo kien iħobb jgħid:
- “L-Ewkaristija hija t-triq tiegħi għall-Ġenna.”
- “Aħna kollha twelidna oriġinali. Tmutx kopja.”
- “Li nkun dejjem qrib Ġesù dik hija l-pjan ta’ ħajti.”
Carlo huwa eżempju modern ta’ kif żagħżugħ jista’ jgħix ħajja qaddisa b’mod sempliċi u ordinarju. Hu ġie ddikjarat Beatu mill-Knisja fl-2020, u llum ħafna nies jitolbu l-interċessjoni tiegħu bħala ħabib fis-sema.
Beatu Carlos Acutis itlob għalina!

Il-kanżunetta ferrieħa “Carlo Acutis Pray for Us” ta’ Father Manuel saret biex tagħti ġieħ lil Beatu Carlo u biex nitolbu bl-interċessjoni tiegħu.
Il-kanzunetta tirrifletti l-imħabba kbira ta’ Carlo għall-Ewkaristija, il-passjoni tiegħu għall-evanġelizzazzjoni, u l-identità tiegħu bħala “appostlu diġitali” tal-lum. Hija stedina liż-żgħażagħ biex jispiraw ruħhom mill-ħajja ta’ fidi li għex u l-għan tiegħu f’ħajtu.
Din hija l-lirika ta’ “Carlo Acutis Pray for Us” ta’ Father Manuel.
🎶 Carlo Acutis – Pray for Us (Lyrics)
Lyrics:
Yo, Listen up , lemme tell you bout a kid
Carlo Acutis, yeah the bro on the grid
A modern-day saint , with a faith so bright, With a laptop in his hand, kept spreading the light
He saw the miracles, and putem online
Turning simple moments into something divine
Digital evangelist, spreading the truth, With passion and purpose, inspiring the youth
Pre chorus
Joyful and kindness flowing
All his deeds, like seeds keep growing
All the glitters, glitters for itself
Light up, light up the Bulb
Chorus
Go go go boy go go go high
Hop hop hop inside the ride
The ride is On on on the highway to heaven
Post chorus
Carlo Acutis – pray for us
Verse 2
He loved the Eucharist; it was his Quest
Showing the world, that’s how to stay blessed
A soul full of kindness, always reaching out
In a world full of noise, he silenced the clout
Young and so brave, he faced his fate
Fighting for faith, with love as his trait
In every moment, his spirit ignites
Carlo inspires, bringing hope to the nights
Bridge
Took on the challenge, young and so bold
With his heart on fire, his legacy told
Trusted in the journey through struggles and pain
Found solace in Jesus, his guiding refrain.
With a smile so bright, a powerful proof.
Teaching us all to cherish the truth
Sneaker saint on a digital quest
Guiding young hearts, how to love and invest
Il-Mirakli Ewkaristiċi huma sinjali speċjali mingħand Alla li jgħinuna nemmnu li Ġesù hu tassew preżenti fl-Ewkaristija—fil-Ħobż u l-Inbid ikkonsagrati waqt il-quddiesa.
Xi drabi, f’dawn il-mirakli, l-ostja tinbidel b’mod viżibbli, bħallikieku ssir laħam jew jidher sinjal ta’ demm. Dawn il-mumenti jfakkruna li l-Ewkaristija mhix biss simbolu, imma l-Ġisem u d-Demm ta’ Ġesù vera, mogħtija lilna b’imħabba kbira 💖.
Ħafna minn dawn il-mirakli ġew studjati minn xjenzati u approvati mill-Knisja. Carlo Acutis għen biex jiġbor u jaqsam dawn l-istejjer straordinarji biex aktar nies ikunu jistgħu jemmnu fil-qawwa tal-Ewkaristija.
5 Mirakli Ewkaristiċi Magħrufa
Dawn huma ħames mirakli Ewkaristiċi magħrufa li Carlo Acutis irriċerka u ddokumenta, flimkien ma’ deskrizzjonijiet qosra u referenzi. Dawn jgħinuna nemmnu li Ġesù hu tassew preżenti fl-Ewkaristija – fil-ġisem, demm, ruħ u d-Divinita’ Tiegħu.
1. Lanciano, Italy (8th century)

- Monaku li kien qed jiddubita dwar il-preżenza reali ta’ Ġesù fl-Ewkaristija ra l-Ostja kkonsagrata tinbidel f’laħam veru u l-inbid f’demm waqt il-Quddiesa.
- Studji xjentifiċi kkonfermaw li l-laħam kien tessut ta’ qalb umana.
- Carlo poġġa dan il-miraklu fuq nett fil-websajt tiegħu.
2. Buenos Aires, Argentina (1996)
- Ostja kkonsagrata nstabet mal-art. Ġiet imqiegħda fl-ilma biex tinħall, imma ftit jiem wara nbidlet f’sustanza ħamra li kienet tidher bħall-laħam.
- Studji wrew li kienet tessut ta’ qalb umana b’ċelloli bojod—dan ifisser li kienet għadha ħajja.
- Ix-xjentisti baqgħu mistagħġbin. Il-Papa Franġisku, li dak iż-żmien kien Arċisqof ta’ Buenos Aires, approva l-investigazzjoni.

- Ħallelin serqu l-Ostji kkonsagrati, iżda rritornawhom wara. Aktar minn 290 sena wara, l-Ostji għadhom ippreservati perfettament, mingħajr sinjali ta’ tħassir.
- Ix-xjentisti kkonfermaw li ma hemm l-ebda sinjal ta’ deterjorazzjoni, avolja magħmulin minn qamħ ordinarju.
- Waqt il-Quddiesa, ministru tal-Ewkaristija nnota li Ħostja kellha tbajja’ ħomor li dehru bħal demm.
- It-testijiet wrew li kien demm u tessut ta’ qalb umana ħajja—bl-istess riżultati ta’ mirakli oħra.
- Ostja kkonsagrata waqgħet u ġiet imqiegħda fl-ilma. Aktar tard dehret sustanza ħamra, u t-testijiet wrew li kienet tessut ta’ qalb umana taħt stress.
- L-Isqof approva l-venerazzjoni ta’ dan il-miraklu, u qal li kien konformi mat-tagħlim tal-Knisja..

Il-Beatu Carlo Acutis huwa midfun fil-Knisja ta’ Santa Maria Maggiore – Santuario della Spogliazione f’Assisi, l-Italja.
Din il-knisja tinsab fil-qalba ta’ Assisi, l-istess belt fejn għex San Franġisk. Carlo ried jindifen hemm għax kien jammira lil San Franġisk u xtaq jimxi fuq l-eżempju tiegħu ta’ sempliċità u mħabba lejn il-foqra.
Il-ġisem tiegħu jinsab f’qabar tal-ħġieġ, liebes jeans u ġakketta sportive, ħwejjeġ ta’ kuljum li jfakkruna li l-qdusija hija possibbli anke f’affarijiet ordinarji.
Ħafna pellegrini, inklużi tfal u żgħażagħ, iżuru l-qabar tiegħu biex jitolbu u jkunu ispirati mill-imħabba ferrieħa tiegħu lejn Ġesù.

Ir-ritratt juri lil Carlo mimdud f’qabar tal-ħġieġ, liebes l-ilbies ta’ kuljum; jeans, ġakketta sportiva u sneakers kif hu stess talab, biex juri li l-qdusija hija sabiħa u milħuqa fil-ħajja ta’ kuljum.
Il-ġisem vera ta’ Carlo mejjet, jinsab taħt il-ġisem tax-xama’ li qed tara fil-ħġieġa. Dan tax-xama’ ġie kkreat b’attenzjoni għall-venerazzjoni u nħadem skont kif kien fil-mument tal-mewt tiegħu.
Tista’ tuża din l-istampa waqt ħin ta’ talb jew riflessjoni biex tgħin lit-tfal jagħrfu li l-qdusija hija possibbli wkoll illum anke għal xi ħadd żgħir bħalhom li jgħix il-fidi tiegħu b’mod sempliċi u ta’ kuljum. Użaha biex toħloq diskussjoni dwar l-ilbies ta’ Carlo u x’tgħallimna dwar kif nistgħu nkunu qaddisin permezz ta’ atti ordinarji, tjieba u mħabba.

Il-fdalijiet tal-Beatu Carlo Acutis inġabu lejn Malta fl-Ottubru 2021 mill-Patrijiet Franġiskani bil-ħsieb li jgħinu lit-tfal jiskopru l-imħabba ta’ Alla permezz tal-eżempju ta’ Carlo Acutis. L-ewwel, il-fdalijiet ġew esebiti f’avveniment djoċesan taż-żgħażagħ u mbagħad żaru ħafna skejjel u parroċċi f’Malta u Għawdex.
It-tfal f’dawn l-iskejjel esperjenzaw attività differenti organizzati madwar ir-relikwa tiegħu, inkluż mumenti ta’ talb sieket, adorazzjoni quddiem l-Ewkaristija, sessjonijiet ta’ qsim, purċisjonijiet u quizzes dwar ħajjet Carlo. Din il-preżenza affettwat b’mod profond lit-tfal, li wasslet għal riflessjonijiet dwar il-fidi u diskussjonijiet impenjattivi. Fi klassi partikolari li kienet magħrufa għall-imġiba diffiċli saret l-iktar grupp attent waqt iż-żjara tar-relikwa.
Nota li tmiss il-qalb, tifel li kien qed jirċievi trattament barra l-pajjiż ma setax jattendi iżda l-familja tiegħu ġiet tħoss lilu permezz tal-fdalijiet, li turi l-konnessjoni spiritwali qawwija li t-tfal u l-familji ħasbu permezz din l-esperjenza.
Dawn il-viżti ġabu mumenti sbieħ u qawwija ta’ qsim tal-fidi u ispiraw ħafna żgħażagħ biex jitħarrġu eqreb ma’ Ġesù, jimxu warajh permezz tal-ferħ u l-eżempju sabiħ ta’ Carlo. Aqra aktar dwar din l-esperjenza hawn.
