Dear Friends,

September has been an exciting month for us as a team. We had a great Day Conference at Gas Street Church in Birmingham partnering with the Church of England. More on that below from Phil! We have also had the opportunity to speak at or run training in Liverpool, Bristol and Luton. It has been a busy and very exciting start to the academic year. I do hope that you have had a good start to the new academic year and have also been able to find moments to pause, pray and reflect amongst the often-busy month of September.

Day Conference in Partnership with The Church of England

Our national conference was a bit different this year. We invited some brilliant speakers to help us explore the outcomes of our recent research project into the impact of prayer spaces, which meant that the day felt a lot deeper, wider (and more full) than usual.
“It was excellent” someone posted on Facebook afterwards. “I went expecting fairy lights and post it and, while there was some of that, I left with my heart and mind full of lots of inspiring thoughts about young people, spirituality, social justice and encounter.”
If you missed the conference, we, unfortunately, can’t reproduce the encouraging conversations, the prayer space, nor the buffet lunch. However, we will be posting videos of the keynote talks on our website and social media very soon. Don’t miss them.

Sharing the vision around the country

Over the past few weeks, we have been working with the Chester and Liverpool Dioceses to run training and envisioning days. We are really excited to see how prayer space teams begin to develop in these areas of the country.
In the coming month, we have training happening in Bournemouth, London and Stevenage. You can find out about all our upcoming training here. If you work for an organisation and would like us to provide some training for your networks please get in touch by emailing Catherine.

24-7 Prayer International Conference in Belfast

We love being a part of 24-7 Prayer and from the 24th – 27th October we will be in Belfast at the international gathering. We will be sharing about Prayer Spaces in Schools, meeting and chatting with lots of people from all over the globe about prayer spaces. Please pray for us as we talk, build connections and see the work grow globally. You can find out more about the conference or even book to join us here

With Thanks,

Catherine Clayton
