Instructions

Difficult experiences often upset us very badly. Resilience is the strength that helps us to bounce back by thinking hopefully about life, learning from our mistakes and finding help and support.  Difficult experiences do not break us but shape us to become stronger and braver.

  • Think about an experience which has knocked you down. If you want to, you can speak to an adult who can help you with this.
  • Push the top of the punchbag all the way down and watch how it springs back up. (Be careful that it doesn’t hit you!)
  • As you push the punchbag down a second time, think about what has knocked you down. If you want to, say a wish or a prayer asking for resilience – for the strength to bounce back.
