A session for educators

During this session, the SDS team animated a session related to spiritual well-being through prayer spaces where educators could reconnect with God, themselves and others and share their experiences. This experience was conducted in the beautiful halls and gardens of Dar Ħanin Sammartian in Sta Venera. They were also introduced to the vision and method of prayer spaces and celebrated the Holy Eucharist together.
The prayer activities that were set included:
![]() Prayer WallIn this prayer space one is encouraged to be one of the builders of a wall of faith by writing and sticking his prayer onto the wall. |
![]() Be Still: Prayer WordDuring this time one is inivted to be still and meditate on ma-ra-na-ta. |
![]() Friendship ChainDuring this prayer one is asked to think of a friend, reflect on the good qualities of their friend and then thank God for them. |
![]() Building BlocksIn this prayer space one is asked to relfect on one’s daily actions and how such actions are helping to build a better world. |
![]() Cardboard HomeDuring this time one is given time to reflect and pray for people who suffer poverty and are homeless. |
![]() Unity TreeDuring this prayer space one is encouraged to think about the school community he belongs to. |
![]() Shoal of FishIn this prayer space one and reflects and prays for unity and peace every place one is. |
![]() MirrorThis prayer activity encourages one to identify the positive aspects of oneself as one looks at one’s own self-image created on the image of God in the mirror. |
![]() Being BraveThis space is to help one think of the situation where bravery is needed and to ask God for courage. |
![]() Fizzy ForgivenessIn this prayer space one reflects on forgiving those who hurt us, just like a tablet disappears in water so will our upset and hurt disappear with forgiveness. |
![]() Reconciliation ZipsThis Prayer Space shall help to think about situations where the human being argues, and sometimes separates himself/herself from the other person whom he/she had the argument with. Through the zips, we are to think about a situation and pray for reconciliation. |
