Reflective Thought
If we look at a map of Europe, we can see that most of the countries in Europe are close to each other. When we attend an activity, we seek to sit next to someone whom we enjoy being with. All countries in the European continent have similar things, maintain the unity amongst the countries through their leaders so that the message is one: that all humans are brothers and sisters.
Prayer
O Lord, continue to take care of the people in Europe so that everyone recognises how wonderful it is to be united. Amen.

Introduction
Malta is located in the continent of Europe along with fifty other countries. Europe is a peninsula and is the second smallest continent in the world. We can see this clearly if we look at the map of Europe. Peace and Unity in Europe is celebrated on the 5th of May. Let’s watch this video together:

Reflective Thought
That Malta is part of the European continent means that our small island is part of something bigger. Hence, this shows that Malta in the European Union is united with other countries and together they create rules that strengthen the unity of all. Rules are not enough though… the most important rule is that of love. Rules help us to do everything right and to strengthen unity in diversity.
Prayer
Loving God, bless the European continent and help all leaders to take wise decisions that bring unity amongst everyone. Amen.

Introduction
We have heard many times about Europe and that Malta forms part of this continent. Some of us have even carried out a project about Europe and looked for Malta on the map. Let’s watch this video together:

Reflective Thought
On the 5th of May, we celebrate peace and unity in Europe. The leaders of the countries of the European Union work hard so their countries move towards unity through decision-making even during a crisis. All European countries share identity, culture, and history and in all this, a natural bond is created. Such as, for example, when we all began to use the same currency, the Euro. You and I can practice this by looking only at what unites us and at what is common in everything we do, thus showing that unity in diversity is possible.
Prayer
Oh Lord, we ask you to look over the European continent. Take care of us all in this continent, to welcome those who come to visit us and to encourage unity through our actions. Amen.
