Introduction
Being selfless means to surrender. We’ve always learnt that the person who surrenders wins. I am sure there was a time when you gave a sweet to someone, or lent colouring pencils or a pen or something else to someone who needed and did not have these objects. In this video some children help other childen by giving them what needed. They deprived themselves of these objects so that they could help others. Let us watch it together:

What were the children’s feelings in this video? Surely, it was not easy for them to take such a decision like helping the homeless man instead of buying an ice cream. They would have enjoyed eating an ice cream but without doubt, their hearts were full of joy because they forgot themselves for a while to help others feel better. And in fact, what was their first reaction after the generous act? Hugging their parents and those who take care of them..
Prayer
Dear God, teach us not to be afraid to take such decisions in order to help others feel better, even if a little bit of suffering is necessary. Amen.

Sometimes, in order to help someone and treat him well, it is helpful that one learns to forget oneself. This is the greatest love. Laying down one’s life means helping in the best way possible and showing happiness for the good and beautiful acts of others, even if we feel a bit uncomfortable.
