Welcome

The Head, SLT or educator who is leading the assembly welcomes the students by saying good morning. One can start the assembly with the sign of the cross or a minute in silence.

Introduction

Talents are gifts. God is the giver of talents. Do you like singing, dancing, colouring or playing sports games? These are all talents. These talents make us unique, special and generous to others. Let us sing this song together:

Reflective Thought

What is your talent? (The children are encouraged to randomly say something about their talent). These talents make us different and unique, but when we practise our talents, we help others integrate and feel better about themselves.

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for blessing us with talents. Thank you for your love and care. Amen.

What is your talent? (The students are invited to randomly say something about their talents). Like the boy in the video, never let anyone underestimate your abilities. The boy’s perseverance and belief in himself made his teacher ask him for help to teach him the dancing steps. It is God’s gift to you, and when you are practising it, you are giving this gift back to God. Our talents make us unique. Let us all use them to help others make our world a better place.

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for the gifts and talents. Please help us to recognize how to use them wisely in order to encourage and support one another. Amen.

Reflective Thought

It is a privilege that one discovers God’s given talents. Talents encourage us to believe in ourselves, explore the world around us, and provide a helping hand to others. If we use our abilities wisely for all our brothers and sisters, God will bless us abundantly. Reflect on the talents you have. Do your best to use them as a thanksgiving act for God and for the benefit of others.

Prayer

While thanking you for blessing us with talents, God our Father gives us the wisdom to use them with love, goodness, and faithfulness. Amen.

It is a privilege that one discovers God’s given talents. Talents encourage us to believe in ourselves, explore the world around us and give a helping hand to others. The man in the video helped the poor mother and child start living again. Through his efforts the child gains the right to attend school. If we use our talents wisely for all our brothers and sisters, God will bless us more abundantly. Reflect on the talents you have. Do your best to use them as a thanksgiving act to God and for the benefit of others.
