Every shared story, every prayer, and every new friendship reminds us that God is growing something beautiful through Prayer Spaces in Schools across the world.

Fr Reuben Gauci and Silvana Cardona, National Coordinators of Prayer Spaces in Schools Malta, recently represented Malta at the annual Prayer Spaces in Schools International Round Table, held at Waverley Abbey, United Kingdom, at the end of June and the beginning of July.

The gathering brought together Prayer Spaces in Schools national coordinators from across the world, including Ireland, Switzerland, Peru, Australia, France, Austria, and many other countries. As part of the global 24-7 Prayer movement, the Round Table provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen international friendships, share experiences, and encourage one another in the mission of creating meaningful prayer spaces for children and young people.

During the roundtable, participants:

  • presented a report on the Prayer Spaces in Schools initiatives and developments in their respective countries during the first six months of this year;
  • shared inspiring stories and experiences from Prayer Spaces in Schools around the world;
  • planned together for the future growth and development of the Prayer Spaces in Schools movement;
  • prayed for one another, the schools and communities they serve;
  • enjoyed time together, building relationships through fellowship and shared meals.

The International Round Table reaffirmed the shared vision of helping children and young people explore life, faith, and spirituality through creative and reflective prayer experiences. It was also a wonderful reminder of how God continues to bless and grow this ministry across the world. We give thanks to God for the many opportunities, the inspiring experiences shared, and the visible growth of Prayer Spaces in Schools in so many countries.

Prayer Spaces in Schools Malta is grateful to be part of this international family and looks forward to continuing to support schools across Malta and Gozo as this mission continues to flourish.
