On Thursday, 21st November 2024, our EkoSkola team hosted the “Green Flag Fest,” a day filled with enriching activities. I had the privilege of leading the “Prayer Spaces – Connecting with Nature, the World, and Each Other.” This initiative provided a meaningful space for reflection, connection, and peace. I am deeply grateful to Silvana Cardona from Prayer Spaces in Schools – Malta for her support and guidance, which made this experience possible.

During circle time, as the students prepared to leave, they shared reflections that captured the impact of the session:

  • Can we stay longer?”
  • “When are we going to do this again?”
  • “Letting go of the pebble in the water and offering my thoughts to Jesus brought peace to my heart.”
  • “Letting go of the pebble reminded me of my brother who has already passed away.”
  • “I feel much better now than before I came here.”
  • “It’s good to find time to reflect on our thoughts, especially when something is worrying us.”

Their words highlight the profound importance of creating moments of quiet reflection and connection, especially amidst the demands of everyday life.
