Introduction

Living as brothers and sisters creates our ability to do nice things for each other.
Reflection
Accepting each other as brothers and sisters makes life more tranquil and amusing. We are all special and unique, and it is essential that we share what makes us unique such as our talents to create a very nice harmony among us.
Activity
Love Heart
(Equipment – different objects in classroom, interactive board, whiteboard, or plain paper)
Form a big heart with any kind of objects you find in class ex. pebbles, Lego blocks, wooden blocks, bits of paper, pens, or pencils, and masking tape. If this is not possible draw one on the whiteboard on the interactive board.
Explain to the children how a heart is often used as a representation of love because love supplies energy to people and blood to the body. This blood (love) allows us to live happily.
Ask the children to mention people whom they love and people who love them. One can write them on a piece of paper and then place them in the middle of the heart.

Prayer
A visual prayer. Equipment – plastic cups for each child or a bowl for the whole class/group filled with some water, strips of kitchen rolls, and whiteboard markers.
On the kitchen roll strips, the children draw a heart and think of a person who they sometimes find tricky to love. Then, they put the strip in the water and watch the water slowly climb up the strip and into the heart, and the heart is absorbed. Explain to the children that this symbolises how they want God’s love and your love to reach out to everyone.
If time is limited or the number of people is large, the animator can experiment by himself/herself, the children watch, and the class teachers can repeat it in their respective classrooms.
