Saint Paul arrived to Malta on a vessel that was caught in a violent storm causing the vessel to become shipwrecked.  St Paul was on his way to Rome only to be wrecked on the Maltese coast.

Just like St Paul, we too encounter storms and hardships that hinder us from living our Christian life well. However, we continue our journey in our relationship with Jesus, by listening to the Word of God, experiencing prayer, and participating regularly in the Sacraments.

Imagine you are on a boat.  A strong wind is blowing and the sea is no longer calm. You see the storm coming and the sea is very rough. The waves are crashing into the boat and water is entering the boat.

What are your thoughts? What are you afraid of right now in your life?

  • Take a paper boat and write down your worries and fears.
  • Now put the paper boat in the water tub or container and think of how you can help yourself to get rid of these fears.
  • Pray to God to remind you of His power and grace and to fill you with peace as you trust your worries in Him.
