five fingers of prayer

Instructions

Usually, when we pray we were taught to place our hands like this:-  Today for your prayer you can open your hands and look at the 5 fingers on one of your hands. Each finger is going to remind you for whom you can pray.

  • Take one of these A4 papers and outline your hand on it.
  • Cut out the outline of your hand and write the following on each finger.

  1. Thumb: family and friends
  2. Pointer: leaders and teachers
  3. Tall Finger: governments and police
  4. Ring Finger: the sick and the poor
  5. Little Finger: me and my needs.
  • Stick your hand template on a popsicle stick and dig it in the soil.

Now you can look at your hand template and say your five different prayers according to the intention you wrote on each finger.
