The Salesian is sent out to be an apostle for the young in the footsteps of Don Bosco. During the celebration of the Holy Eucharistic on the feast of Don Bosco, celebrated by Fr Paul Formosa SDB, surrounded by young people, Antoine Galea has expressed his will to discern the call to follow Don Bosco as a pre-novice.

As of every Friday, at the Bishop’s Conservatory Secondary School, Mass is celebrated during the second break. On the feast of St John Bosco, Mass was celebrated in honour of this great Patron Saint of the Young.
May we all make ours the words of this man who revolutionised society by his unending love for Jesus in the Eucharist, Mary, and the Church:
“The primary happiness of a child consists of knowing that they are loved. The young must not only be loved, but they must know they are loved. In every young person, even the most difficult, there is a vulnerable spot for good. The first duty of an educator is to find it. Love must always be the mainspring of the heart.”

On Thursday 30th January 2020, a group of girls from Grade 5 at Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School Paola, read and mimed the Gospel abridged. This was commented and discussed by the girls during Assembly. It ended by the Pre-Grade singing and miming ‘THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE I’M GOING TO LET IT SHINE’. The whole school joined in the singing and clapping thus creating a lovely atmosphere for the occasion. Special thanks go to Sr Bernardette Gafa’ and Ms Mary Grace Grech for taking this initiative.
