On Friday 18th November 2022, Rev Fr Reuben Gauci led three consecutive sessions for the spiritual well-being of kindergarten educators, Year 1, 2, and 3 educators, and Year 4, 5, and 6 educators and SMTs respectively.
Each group of educators had an allocated time to first experience prayer spaces for themselves. Fr Reuben Gauci and Silvana Cardona led the educators on the eight prayer activities which were set up in two different classrooms and an internal yard. The prayer activities were related to being still, showing gratitude, praying for the world, serving others, having hopes and dreams, broken deep inside, forgiveness and peace.
After enjoying time for personal reflection on the various prayer activities, each group of educators came back to a classroom where Fr Reuben processed this experience with them. There were moments of individual evaluation and sharing in the large group followed by moments of learning and sharing of experiences. This helped educators to express themselves on how one can understand and tolerate one another, how one can show gratitude and be appreciative towards oneself and others, the importance of finding time to be still and appreciate moments of silence in our busy lives, and what are the true values of life.
