Prayer Spaces will be setup for students

Maltese & English

The SDS team set up and animated prayer spaces for students to reconnect with God, themselves and others. We thank the SLT for their collaboration and cooperation in providing this important space to students in the best possible way. The National Literacy Agency supported this Prayer Space session.

After discussing with the SLT of the school, we presented various prayer activities, including the following:

Saying Sorry – Strings

This prayer space encourages one to think about being sorry for an action against God or those around us.

Big Questions

During this prayer activity, one is given the space to ask his honest questions to God.

Be Still: Prayer Word

During this time one is inivted to be still and meditate on ma-ra-na-ta.

Hopes and Dreams (for Malta)

With this prayer activity the children will reflect on God’s loving care and protection, entrusting their worries and fears to Him, and finding comfort in knowing that God is always watching over them with love.

Mirror

This prayer activity encourages one to identify the positive aspects of oneself as one looks at one’s own self-image created on the image of God in the mirror.

Luzzu’s Eyes

With this prayer activity the children will reflect on God’s loving care and protection, entrusting their worries and fears to Him, and finding comfort in knowing that God is always watching over them with love.

Fishing for Kindness

Participants are invited to consider different acts of kindness and to ask God to help them be as kind in their lives.

Bus Blessings

During this prayer activity, the participant can appreciate the relationships with their families and friends and be grateful to God and for them.

Sorry Sand

In this prayer space one is given the opportunity to reflect on the unkind actions we made and invited to pray for forgiveness.

Gallarija Prayers

With this prayer activity the children will learn to look beyond themselves, reflect on the needs of others in the world around them, and pray to God with compassion for those who need help and care.
