A course to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to create and run a prayer space in a given setting.

The course ‘Creating and Animating Prayer Spaces‘, developed in collaboration between Spiritual Development in Schools and the Pastoral Formation Institute, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create and run a prayer space in a given setting. The prayer spaces can be in a school, youth centre, parish hall, workplace, open-plan area, or outdoor space.

The course offered participants the opportunity to grow in their connectedness with themselves, others, the world, and God through the experience of the prayer spaces.

It enabled the participants to accompany others and explore their faith, spirituality, and life’s big questions in a safe, creative, and interactive way. 

This helped participants better understand the shift from merely living to functioning, fulfilling demands and expectations, and leading a more meaningful life.

It also invited participants to recognise that relationships strengthen when one takes the time to appreciate and reflect on them.

Students who completed this course can apply for the Get Qualified Scheme, which provides a 70% tax credit on costs incurred (i.e., €87.50 will be refunded for this course).
