Welcome

The head, SLT or educator who is administering the assembly welcomes the students by saying good morning. One can start the assembly with the sign of the cross or a minute in silence.

Introduction

We all have people who are special in our life. It could be our parents, guardians, family members, friends, teachers, and other adults who help us. These people are important in our life because they protect us and help us to be safe and happy. When people who live together care for each other, they are not just a group but a family, a community. Communities are important so that nobody feels alone. Let’s watch this video together:

Kindergarten

Reflective Thought

As we saw in the video, the children took care of each other, they were careful to notice when someone else was in trouble and needed help. When we care for each other in this way, we will never feel alone because we know there is always someone who is looking out for us to make us feel safe and happy. One of the colleges is called after St Benedict. He is well-known for his thirst to love God and serve him in contemplative prayer.

Prayer

Dear God, please help us to care for each other so that we will always make each other feel happy and safe and never feel alone. Amen.
