During the month of October 2019 and as part of the Extraordinary Mission Month declared by Pope Francis, Nancy Camilleri Missio Tfal Coordinator, visited several primary and secondary schools in Malta and Gozo. She connected with and encouraged students, educators and other people to share their personal #MyMission

On different occasions, participants also had the opportunity to pray and reflect on mission themed prayer spaces which were prepared and set up during various events. Below are some examples of people sharing their mission and praying on prayer spaces.

Students at Stella Maris School Gzira participated in the mission themed prayer spaces. They enjoyed praying on the Zips prayer space, drew faces on the Feeling grateful prayer space and prayed for people in the world.

“To proclaim Jesus in our lives.”
Two groups of Year 7’s and Year 8’s from St Clare College Secondary School, Pembroke participated in the #MyMission. Through a video clip which was shown to the students, they could witness the daily life of a little girl who lives in one of the missionary lands and the hardships she and other children like her face on a daily basis such as the impoverished homes and schools, food and dirty water. Students were also introduced to the mascot of the mission called Rafiki. This activity was organised by the College Youth Worker Ms Jane Meilak and LSE Mr Ishmael Sciberras.
 
Naxxar and Għargħur youths participated in Mission prayer spaces and Missio experience.
 
Mission week activities in Grade 1 – Each class prepared healthy treats for their peers in the other classes. They also got money from their money boxes to support Missio’s mission in Myanmar. Rafiki visited St Benilds school to thank the boys for their support.
