A Journey Beyond the Classroom

For many Year 11 students, the final months of secondary school bring a mix of emotions—anticipation, uncertainty, and excitement for what lies ahead. The MORE programme is designed to help students navigate this transition with a more profound sense of purpose, exploring their future careers or studies and the spiritual dimension of life.

Throughout the session, students engage in a structured yet reflective journey, beginning with +LOVE, which invites them to consider how love—both given and received—shapes their aspirations and relationships. Small group discussions encourage them to share personal insights, fostering a sense of belonging beyond the school gates.

The second session, +POWER, focused on each student’s potential. It is a call to recognize their strengths, resilience, and ability to shape their future with confidence. After a short break, students are guided into a moment of stillness and meditation, allowing them to pause amidst the noise of daily life and find inner clarity.

The final session, +YOU, centres on self-discovery and purpose and leads into a Prayer Spaces experience. This interactive time encouraged students to reflect on their journey and connect with life’s more profound questions.

The first experience was at St Clare College, Secondary School in Pembroke. The programme concluded with an evaluation moment that captured the students’ thoughts and feelings. MORE is not just a programme but an invitation to embrace life with expectation, meaning, and faith—beyond the classroom and into the future.
