Online Training Session

Towards the end of the summer term, tens of thousands of Year 6 pupils prepare to move to secondary school, and hundreds of school visitors run sessions to help them.
For this Prayer Spaces Session, Leah Peters will be sharing about the impact prayer spaces can have as part of a transition session for pupils. Leah leads The Lighthouse Trust in Northampton and, each summer, runs about 30 transition prayer spaces, helping pupils to reflect and pray as they prepare to leave primary school. She writes, “Our God is a God who walks with and through. He doesn’t watch from afar. In this unsettled time, we can provide a place for the children to experience God in this way.”

” I came in here worried, I now feel like a big heavy thing has left me.” (Year 6 boy)
” I had the chance to talk to God. Now I feel better.” (Year 6 girl)

*The Prayer Space Sessions are termly, one-hour bitesize conversations around specific areas of prayer spaces practice that are brilliant hubs with a wealth of experience and knowledge sharing organised by Prayer Spaces in Schools GB.

This event is part of the Prayer Spaces programme.
