During the time we have at school, we have many different activities like when we listen to a story, draw, play and learn the numbers and letters. We write sentences in Maltese and English and we work out sums. We eat, go to play in the yard and we sing. The time we spend at school helps us to realize that we are capable of doing many beautiful things. It’s good to continue these school activities at home as well so that we can keep growing into strong and capable children who know how to bring joy to others.

A school day consists of six hours. It is good to be creative during lessons at school by thinking and using our ideas to give pleasure to others, our classmates, teachers, and ourselves. Being creative helps us to occupy our time well. We will also be creative when we air our opinions and suggestions. We can become even more creative when we are not afraid to behave in a way which is good and different.

When we create new things, we will be using our creativity. We are creative when we do something which needs a lot of thought, when we use our time well and when we help others or when we create something which can be used by others. Creativity goes beyond just being artistic or musical. Let’s watch this video:

Creativity is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the stronger it will become. In the same way, the more creative you are, the more you use your creativity to invent new things, the more you use your time well, the more you will be helpful to others. Creativity fires our imagination and inspires us to be more productive. It helps us not to become discouraged because we know that we can succeed in life.
Prayer
Lord God, thank you for creating us and for the beauty of creation. Help us to follow your example and to use our imagination to create beautiful and useful things for others. Amen.
