To help children recognise the people who care for and protect them, express gratitude for their love, and thank God for His care through others.

Equipment: Umbrella, mat, tags with string, pens.

Response: Write/Draw

Relationship: Me & Others

An umbrella protects us from the rain or from the sun. There are times in life when we need other kinds of protection. E.g. when parents protect their children when they are scared or upset, or when friends help out when one of them gets hurt.

  • Can you think of a time when someone protected you or looked after you?
  •  Think of that person who looked after you .
  • If you want, write or draw a simple thank you note or prayer to God.

Taht L-Umbrella Tiegħi

L-umbrella tipproteġina mix-xita jew mix-xemx. Xi kultant fil-ħajja jkollna bżonn tip differenti ta’ protezzjoni. Per eżempju, meta l-ġenituri jipproteġu lit-tfal meta  jkunu qed jibżgħu jew imdejqin; jew meta l-ħbieb jagħtu sapport lil xi ħabib li weġġa’.

  • Tista’ taħseb f’mumenti meta xi ħadd ipproteġik jew ħa ħsiebek?
  • Aħseb f’dik il-persuna li ħa ħsiebek.
  • Jekk trid ikteb jew pinġi nota jew talba ta’ ringrazzjament lil Alla.
