Reflective Thought

We must learn to greet each other and say Hello, to the children we already know and those who are new or do not know so well yet. Let us take the time this year to become more as a family.

Prayer

Dear God, open our hearts to all our classmates and make us family. Amen.

Introduction

Welcome back, everyone. We might already know some of our classmates, but some might also be new. So let us use this year to build a family together, those who we already know and those who we do not. Following the following clip that gives the experience if someone who feels lonely at school:

Reflective Thought

The students at first ignored the student who was alone and was hesitant about what to do. However, when the student decided to sit on the Friendship Stop, the students started to gather around him. If you feel like the lonely boy, do not be afraid to ask others to be your friends, and if you see someone who is alone, do not be afraid to become their friend and introduce them to others. That is how the school will become a family.

Prayer

Dear God, open our eyes to become more aware of those around us and open our hearts to become their friends. Amen.

Introduction

Welcome! New year, new class, new faces and some even a new school. Transition, whether from Year 6 to Year 7 or Year 8 to Year 9, might seem scary at first, but during this process, it is important that we start to get to know each other and help each other feel safer. Let’s watch this clip:

Reflective Thought

As we have seen, everyone might be a bit scared initially, but by time, it gets better. So, as we start this new journey together and become a family – be open to new friends and new experiences, join clubs and other activities, have fun and mostly be kind to those around you.

Prayer

Dear God, open our eyes to become more aware of those around us, open our hearts to become their friends and open our hands to help where needed. Amen.
