Reflective Thought

This year we are also to show respect by obeying the new rules in our schools like keeping distance and following the teacher’s instructions of when we need to put on the masks for our safety and that of others. This is not easy to do, so this morning we are going to pray together that we will never forget how important it is to respect one another because when we show respect we are loving each other.

Prayer

Dear God, we thank you for this day. We thank you because for you we are all special. We ask you today to help us treat one another with respect.

This year in particular we are to be respectful towards one another by obeying the new school rules like that of wearing our masks for our safety and that of others and by following the signs and instructions given by the school staff. This is quite a challenge because we have to make sacrifices. Sometimes we are going to feel uncomfortable and we need courage to keep on respecting ourselves and others. So, this morning we are going to ask God to help us respect ourselves and one another because showing respect is another way of showing our love and care.

Dear God we thank you for this day. Diversity is your way of giving us the opportunity to experience the wonder of your hands. For you we are all special in our own ways. Please we ask you to help us love each other and treat one another with respect.

Reflective Thought

This year during some of our assemblies we will be talking about respect. Particularly during this scholastic year, we ought to be respectful towards one another by abiding by the new school rules like that of wearing our masks for our own safety and that of others, and by following the signs and instructions given by the school staff. This is quite a challenge because this asks us to make personal sacrifices such as experiencing discomfort. Hence why this morning we are going to ask God to help us live by the Golden rule. The Golden Rule is to treat other people the way you would like to be treated.

Prayer

God while we thank you for this day, for our school and for one another we ask you to help us fight our selfish vibes so that we can grow in showing respect towards one another and towards every other creature on Earth. We ask you to remind us constantly that for you we are all special in our own ways and that the wonder of diversity is your way of respecting us and our uniqueness. Grant us the will to treat all forms of life with respect.
