REFLECTION

“How do I let myself be guided by the Holy Spirit so that my witness of faith is one of unity and communion? Do I bring the message of reconciliation and love that is the Gospel to the places where I live?” Pope Francis invites us to reflect on these questions: What do I do with my life? Do I create unity around me? Or do I cause division by gossip, criticism, or envy?

ACTIVITY

Promoting unity not division.

-Think of a member in your family or friends to whom you said hurtful things and because of what you have said, you are continuously arguing or maybe stopped talking to each other

-Now confess without an excuse and say what you did wrong by naming the wrongdoing specifically.

-Offer a genuine apology and ask him/her forgiveness by explicitly asking for it as in “Can you forgive me for hurting you?”

PRAYER

Dear God, give us the grace not to speak badly of others, not to criticize, not to gossip, but rather to love everyone.
