Day 22-19/12/21

REFLECTION

Love is the significance of the fourth Sunday of Advent. Like Jesus who continuously shares his love with all of us, we too can share our love with everyone, even with people we do not know.

BIBLE VERSE

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2)

ACTIVITY

Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe deeply for a moment or two. Allow your concerns to move across your mind and wait off to the side for now. Imagine you are in an outdoor location like the backyard, a camping site, a sports ground you frequented or a field where you hang out with friends.

It’s a chilly night, but the sky is clear. While you are out there talking with your friends you hear voices of a man and a woman under a tree. Their voices show excitement. Together with your friends you move quietly and ask them if everything is OK.

The man says that his wife just had a baby. It happened so fast that they had to stop there as there were no hospitals in that part of town and had nowhere to stay. You have never seen a new born baby and that sight fills you and your friends with deep joy.

PRAYER

Dear Jesus, help me to see the needs of others and to welcome everyone in my heart. When it is hard to act, please help me to be courageous to take the necessary actions and to share your love with everyone.
