REFLECTION

Empathy is the capacity to understand what another person is experiencing from within the other person’s frame of reference, the capacity to place oneself in another’s shoes.

BIBLE VERSE

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12)

ACTIVITY

Look at all your shoes, runners, bedside slippers, sandals, flip flops, or boots. As you look at the different shoes, let them remind you of various people that you meet in your daily lives.

PRAYER

Dear God, give me insight to understand the other person and help me to show them support and empathy.
