This week we are celebrating St Agatha. Saint Agatha was a young saint from Sicily who gave her life for Jesus. It is said that Saint Agatha lived in Malta for some time and she also helped us escape from a big Turk’s attack. She is the patron saint of Malta, which means she watches over the island and takes care of it. Now, let us watch this clip together.

It is said St Agatha and her friends escaped Sicily and found refuge in Malta, hence the catacombs in Rabat named after her. It is also believed through her intercession we got saved from a Turks’ attack and so was named patron of Malta. Let us watch this clip together.
