Amen”

Introduction

This week we will be talking about St Paul since we are celebrating his feast next Wednesday. Saint Paul is important for us because he shared with us Jesus’ love for us. Let us watch this clip together:

Watch

Ask the students what the name of the man who helped Paul is.

Reflective Thought

In the clip we saw a man called Ananias, who helped Paul. Paul respected Ananias as his teacher. St Paul gives us an example that no matter how much we know, we still should respect those who guide us like our teachers and educators, parents and in a few years’ time managers.

Prayer

Dear God, help us to understand that although we know a lot, we do not know everything. Help us to respect our educators and parents, and anyone who teaches us. Amen.

Introduction

Next Wednesday is the feast of when St Paul came to Malta. St Paul travelled in many countries and wrote many letters with the purpose of drawing the people closer to God who loved us through Jesus. In this clip we are going to see his encounter with Ananias.

Watch

Ask the students for their reactions/ thoughts.

Reflective Thought

In the clip we see Saint Paul asking Ananias for help, guidance, and support. Ananias helped St Paul, even though St Paul had hurt his family and in turn St Paul respected Ananias as his guidance. Both serve as an example – to forgive and help those who hurt us as that leads to internal peace. Another good example is to respect those people who are guiding us like– parents, teachers, head, and others. We will grow and continue to learn; however we will never know everything.

Prayer

Dear God, through the prayers of St Paul, we pray for humility and to respect those who guide us. We ask for a kind heart that is open for the forgiveness and care of others. Amen.
