When Saint Martin shared his cloak he did so because he wanted to cloth that beggar with respect. How nice it would be if we had to cover each other with love, mercy, kind words and respect.

Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven, we pray that you watch over us. We pray that we clothe ourselves with love and respect.

On a piece of paper write or draw something which comes to your mind after you saw, heard and reflected on this video clip. I drew a jacket and I am going to place it somewhere to remind me to cloth others with generosity, solidarity, kind words, hope and respect.

Prayer

Dear God this week while we are celebrating the feast of St Martin of Tour we ask you to kindle our hearts so that like this saint we will clothe ourselves and others with love, generosity, mercy and full respect.
