Day 8
REFLECTION
Today, we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is the celebration of Mary being conceived without sin. This means that Our Lady, who chose to say ‘Yes’ to God in His Son Jesus, wanted to launch the beginning of a New Creation. Clearly, this Advent, Mary can help us imitate her: she doesn’t simply set an example for us; she literally makes way for Jesus to be born.
BIBLE VERSE
The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:28)
ACTIVITY
Look at an image of Mary, our Mother and Mother of God. Appreciate the fact that she loves you so much. Now, think of when you need her so that you may learn to be more humble and ready to welcome the tender embrace of her son, Jesus, an embrace that renews your life with hope and peace.
PRAYER
Today, say a decade of the Rosary.
