Have you ever felt that life is so noisy and busy that you hardly have time to breathe? Life at school and at home is full of activities, studies, work and activities that distract us. Sometimes we are so busy we do not even find the time to pray or we decide to do other things instead. This is why we need to stop and find a quiet moment so that we can examine our life, our relationships with others and how we can become better people. For this reason, many different religions and beliefs dedicate a specific time during the year where we are encouraged to dedicate more time than usual to prayer, self-control and to be more caring to others.

Instructions

  • Find a quiet space and place the carpet or mat on the floor. (or imagine that you are sitting on a carpet or mat.)
  •  Relax and breathe deeply in and out.
  • Choose a sheet of paper and write MYSELF on it or draw yourself. Think about your life experiences, emotions and successes and difficulties. Write or draw what comes to mind and write or say a prayer about it.
  • Choose another paper and write the names of (or draw a picture of) people you know. Think of how you can be more helpful and kind towards them.
  • Finally, on the last sheet of paper, write the word GOD. Write or draw anything that comes to mind. Write or say a prayer about this.
