Between the 18th and 25th of January every year, Christian Churches and denominations join together in prayer in the process of reuniting as one Church. These dates were proposed in 1908 by Paul Wattson to cover the days between the feasts of St Peter and St Paul. Many students and educators in our schools belong to different Christian Churches and denominations. For this year, the prayers and reflections for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity inspired byt Biblical text: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling\u201d<\/strong> (Ephesians 4:4) have been prepared internationally by the faithful of the Armenian Apostolic Church, along with their brothers and sisters of the Armenian Catholic and Evangelical Churches. These resources draw upon centuries-old traditions of prayer and petition used by the Armenian people, along with hymns that originated in the ancient monasteries and churches of Armenia, some dating back to the fourth century. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026 invites us to draw upon this shared Christian heritage and to delve more deeply into our fellowship in Christ, which unites Christians worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Diocesan Ecumenical Commission adapted the international resources and added reflections and prayers to help the faithful in Malta, including daily reflections, prayers of forgiveness, prayers of the faithful and adoration of the Eucharist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Download the resources below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
