Season of Creation 2022 starts from 1st September till 4th October 2022.\u201cListen to the voice of creation\u201d is the theme and invitation of this year\u2019s Season of Creation. It is a special time for all Christians to pray and work together to care for our common home. This year\u2019s symbol is the burning bush. \u201cI have heard their cry\u2026I know their sufferings\u2026Come, now! I will send you\u2026I will be with you\u201d (Ex 3: 1-12) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, the prevalence of unnatural fires is a sign of the devastating effects that climate change has on the most vulnerable of our planet. Creation cries out as forests crackle, animals flee, and people are forced to migrate due to the fires. On the contrary, the fire that called to Moses as he tended the flock on Mount Horeb did not consume or destroy the bush. This flame of the Spirit revealed God\u2019s presence. This holy fire affirmed that God heard the cries of all who suffered and promised to be with us as we followed in faith to our deliverance from injustice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this Season of Creation, this symbol of God\u2019s Spirit calls us to listen to the voice of creation. On the occasion of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (1st September), Catholic Action Associations all over the world are launching an appeal for prayers. During these personal and community prayers we recommend the recitation of the Christian Prayer in union with creation found in the Encyclical Laudato si\u2019 (246).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
