In collaboration with St Martin’s College, the SDS team setup and animated prayer spaces for Middle school students to reconnect with God, themselves and others. The National Literacy Agency supported this Prayer Space session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children\u2019s prayers and questions to God are powerful expressions of their deepest thoughts, fears, and hopes. At St. Martin\u2019s College, students in Grade 6 and beyond have shared their hearts through profound inquiries, prayers for others, and reflections on the joys and struggles of life. Their words are a testament to the depth of their faith and the challenges they face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Questions to God<\/strong>: Why is life sometimes sad? Why do we have to suffer? When will Jesus return? These are just a few big questions students ask, revealing their search for meaning, justice, and love in the world. They wonder about heaven, the existence of evil, and how they can truly love God. They ask, \u201cWhy do people die?\u201d and \u201cWhy do wars exist?\u201d showing their concern for the pain and suffering around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amid their curiosity, there is hope: \u201cWill I succeed in life?\u201d \u201cWill I be happy?\u201d \u201cCan I make a difference?\u201d Such questions reflect their desire to live with purpose and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tear Drops \u2013 What Makes Me Sad<\/strong> The students express their sorrow over personal losses, family struggles, and social injustices. Many feel the pain of loneliness, bullying, and being left out. Some grieve the loss of loved ones, including pets and family members. Others are deeply affected by witnessing suffering\u2014whether it be the plight of the poor, victims of war, or the sick. Their tears are prayers, longing for a world of kindness and understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Praying for the Homeless Compassion shines through in the students\u2019 prayers for those without shelter. \u201cPlease don\u2019t let kids and parents be on the streets without food or shelter. Amen.\u201d \u201cGod, please save the poor and have mercy on them.\u201d Their prayers reveal a deep empathy, wishing that no one should have to suffer the pain of hunger and homelessness. They ask God to bring warmth, food and hope to those in need, and many pledge to help in any way they can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
